Staff
Tammy Mulligan, B.A. – DenUM’s Executive Director came to DenUM with 12 years of human service experience in Denver and Baltimore. Tammy currently serves on the board of Community Shares and the Weatherization Policy Advisory Committee for the Governor’s Office of Energy Management and Conservation. She is a graduate of Metropolitan State College of Denver, with a degree in journalism.
William Lewis, B.M. - William came to DenUM after eight years as a long term care patient evaluator. As the Program Director he guides all program activity of the agency, supervises program staff, and develops and evaluates service provision. William holds a Bachelor of Music in Sacred Music from Centenary College of Louisiana and serves as Organist/Choirmaster at The Church of the Holy Redeemer (Episcopal) in Denver's City Park West neighborhood.
Faye Gardner , J.D. – Faye came to DenUM with more than 10 years of experience in nonprofit grant writing and donor relations. As the Development Director, she is responsible for overall fundraising and promotion of the agency. Faye holds a law degree and is an elder in the Presbyterian Church, USA.
Alex Delgado, B.S. – Case Manager. Alex has a degree in Social Work from Metropolitan State College and is bilingual. His background includes a 15-year career in banking. Alex is a verger and chalice minister at St. John’s Cathedral and has experience in international short-term missions work.
Amanda Barrett, B.A. - Case Manager. As a 2004 graduate of Creighton University with degrees in Psychology and Theology, Amanda joined the Urban Servant Corps and served as a full-time volunteer at DenUM for one year before joining the staff in 2005.
Sarah Zullo, M. A. – Volunteer Resources Manager. Sarah is is responsible for recruiting and training volunteers as well as coordinating placements from volunteer organizations. Sarah holds a Master of Arts degree in Public Administration from the University of Colorado at Denver.
Laura Barrett, B.A. - Case Manager. Laura also was an Urban Servant Corps volunteer at DenUM before joining the staff in 2007. A Denver native, she is making good use of her B.A. in physics as she assists clients. Laura is a cantor at St. James Catholic Church. (Laura is not related to Amanda.)
Katie Kinne, B.A. - Community Relations Coordinator. Katie joined the DenUM staff as a US-2 missionary of the United Methodist Church. Her duties include communicating with faith communities and community groups and presenting information about DenUM at community events. Katie holds a degree in Music and Sociology from the University of Evansville.
Caroline Schultz, B.A. - Urban Education Coordinator. Caroline comes to Denver from Iowa, where she graduated with degrees in International Studies and Women's Studies from the University of Iowa. She joined the DenUM staff as an Urban Servant Corps volunteer. Cara facilitates day-long Urban Education workshops and week-long Urban Education service trips for middle school, senior high school, and college students.
Angie Schaeffer, B.A. - Case Manager. A native of Montana, Angie joined the Urban Servant Corps and serves DenUM as a case manager. She holds a degree in Psychology and Communication Disorders from Augustana College in Sioux Falls, SD. For the past three summers, Angie worked at Flathead Lutheran Bible Camp in Montana as a camp counselor and wilderness coordinator.
Jennifer Stone - Donations Manager. Jennifer manages DenUM's food inventory and oversees food bag production and distribution. A single mother of two, Jennifer is furthering her education with online classes. She volunteered at DenUM for almost two years before joining the staff.
